Role Overview:
Randstad is seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join the Assessment Team in North Tyneside.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and making crucial decisions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Undertaking home visits and interviews to gather essential information.
  • Liaising with relevant agencies and professionals to coordinate services and interventions.
  • Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, and case progress.

Requirements:

  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a statutory social work setting, preferably in an assessment team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to child protection and safeguarding.
