Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Coleshill

Remuneration: From £30,000 to £40,000 per annum

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Number of People Required: 1

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a finance team to produce management accounts for multiple trading entities within the UK.
  • Carry out daily and monthly financial tasks to provide support to the business.
  • Prepare detailed sets of management accounts for specific trading entities.
  • Perform cash book and bank reconciliations, including issuing manual one-off payments when necessary.
  • Handle accruals and prepayments.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and planned financial data.
  • Complete and submit various submissions related to stock, debtors, sales, and margin.
  • Create detailed management information packs, including supplementary schedules for sales, margin, stock, debtors, and working capital.
  • Reconcile the balance sheet for each relevant trading entity and incorporate it into a PDF version for submission.
  • Maintain monthly plan workings to build up relevant planning data.
  • Manage the organisation's vehicle fleet, including commercial and motor vehicle fuel card management, fuel and lease invoice recharging, insurance claims management, and motor vehicle quotation and ordering for new/replacement vehicles.
  • Handle mobile phone and iPad fleet management.
  • Produce annual detailed vehicle, profit & loss, and balance sheet plans for relevant selling companies, subject to review and approval.
  • Complete the annual internal statutory accounts package for central group consolidation purposes.
  • Process payroll and perform variance analysis.
  • Assist with the monthly submission of internal controls.

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management accounting environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of numeracy.
  • Intermediate level of Excel knowledge.
