Sea Global are currently partnering with an exciting home improvement business who are current in an exciting period of growth. As a result of this growth, the Head of Merchandising is looking to recruit this brand-new role to join his busy team of 5.
As Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a compelling product strategy that maximises sales, margin, and customer satisfaction. You will play a pivotal role in selecting the right product mix, forecasting demand, and working closely with suppliers and store teams to ensure a consistent and inspiring retail experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a merchandising strategy across all categories including gardening, outdoor living, DIY, décor, and seasonal ranges
- Analyse sales data and market trends to forecast demand and optimise product assortment
- Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Oversee stock levels and inventory turnover to maintain optimal availability
- Collaborate with marketing and visual merchandising teams to create cohesive, engaging displays
- Monitor performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement in product performance and customer experience
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience in a merchandising or category management role, ideally within gardening, home improvement, or retail
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Creative mindset with a good eye for trends and product presentation
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in merchandising systems and Excel
