A University in London is looking for a Communications Officer to join the team on a long term contract with the prospects of staying permanently. The Communications Officer will work across PR & media, internal & external communications, events, and social media to enhance the University's reputation and profile.

Client Details

This University is an internationally-renowned educational institution with a strong presence in London.

The team operate hybrid working, in the office sporadically throughout a month.

The Communications will sit within the marketing, communications and digital teams.

Description

  • Support the Social Media Officer to develop the content plan, manage social media accounts and track analysis.
  • As the main point of contact within the press team, you will draft press releases, liaise with journalists and media, support the University's academics with media engagements and support with crisis communications as they arise.
  • Create content across blogs, video & podcasts, web pages and other online & offline channels.

Profile

A successful Communications Officer should have:

  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to develop and implement strategic communications plans across internal and PR.
  • Experience in creating engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Desirable: basic DBS check.

Job Offer

  • An estimated salary range of £32,000 - £35,000.
