Job Profile:

This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for a capable and ambitious HR or business professional. You will work alongside the Group HRD and a Senior Group HR Business Partner across a variety of people projects, both Group-wide and locally with our businesses. The role is truly generalist, hands-on and will give you the opportunity to add value in a fast paced environment. This is a small central HR team, so you will be involved in both the operational and strategic sides of HR. You will need to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders from all levels of the business and within Head Office to be effective. In summary, there is not much that this role will not get exposure to, and this is an ideal development opportunity for someone to grow and shape their career.

Responsibilities:

This list is not exhaustive and will be agile based on the needs of both the Group and our businesses.

Business Partnering:

  • Work alongside the Group HR Business Partner to support our businesses in each Sector, as well as the c.30 colleagues in Head Office. This might include working on organisation change projects, complex employee relations issues and providing advice and guidance to managers and HR managers within our businesses.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:

  • Work alongside our Chief Sustainability Officer and HR to support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives across the group that drive tangible progress

Talent:

  • Set up a scalable general management programme alongside our local business HR Managers, that is complementary to our Senior Leadership Talent Development programme
  • Maintain the Group organisation charts

HR System

  • Support the roll out of an HR system for PLC and our senior management population to ensure efficient and effective people management and to support strategic decision making
  • Ensure the maintenance and integrity of data within the system

Colleague Engagement:

  • Partner with the Group HRBP to deliver the annual Colleague Engagement survey across the Group, analyse results and partner with Managing Directors to develop robust action plans

Reward:

  • Support with the delivery of the annual compensation cycle, including data analysis and collation, as well as preparation for Gender Pay gap reporting.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 5+ years of experience in HR and or business management and change roles
  • High work rate and ambition
  • Commercially savvy and good with numbers
  • Outstanding relationship building skills
  • Strategic and hands-on, detailed, analytical
  • Pro-active, self-starting and motivated
