Imagine a building without any pipes to carry water. Or if there was no heating or ventilation. Or if it was always too hot or cold. It wouldn't be very nice for the people who live or work there, no matter how good it looks.
This is why building services engineering is so important.
You'll be using various calculation software packages to design mechanical building services. These are the things that bring a building to life; for example HVAC, domestic hot and cold water and public health systems. And Implementing sustainable technologies into the design.
You'll also be using dynamic simulation design software to undertake building physics studies; air flow and heat gain for example.
The buildings are a wide range of types: from defence to accommodation; manufacturers to leisure centres; retail to industrial. And even some heritage sites.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Full training is provided. It's a great place for graduates; many have joined the company over the years, including some who are now in senior positions in the business,
You'll be supported and mentored, and will work towards professional accreditations.
WHERE YOU'LL BE DOING IT
The offices are in the north-west part of Nottingham. They are well-served by public transport.
You'll need to live in or near to the city (relocation may be ok, but you will need to have connections in the area).
At times you'll be popping out to client, design and project meetings.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED...
An Architectural Engineering degree (or similar) would be ideal.
