Our customer is a leading training centre focused on sea and space exploration, pioneering innovation in these groundbreaking sectors. Their goal is to drive excellence through cutting-edge training and development. As they are expanding, they are looking for a dynamic and creative Project Manager with expertise in Lean Six Sigma to help streamline our processes, improve quality, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical projects within the organisation, ensuring they align with business goals and maintain the highest quality standards. You will use your Lean Six Sigma expertise to distil complex challenges into actionable insights and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimise processes.

We need someone with the ability to turn 'noise' into clarity, presenting data-driven insights and improvements in a way that resonates across the organisation. You'll have a hands-on approach, collaborating closely with stakeholders while fostering creativity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet business objectives.
  • Process Optimisation: Use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to analyse current processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements that enhance quality and streamline workflows.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and create mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Data Analysis: Translate complex data into clear insights, using it to inform decision-making and improve business processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and efficiency in every project.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate project plans, status reports, and process documentation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, with a focus on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma: Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
  • Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, distil the 'noise', and present clear, actionable solutions.
  • Process-Focused: Passion for process improvement and a strong understanding of quality management principles.
  • Creative and Personable: Able to bring creative solutions to the table while working collaboratively and building strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Initiative: A proactive self-starter who can work independently and show initiative in improving processes and delivering on objectives.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in project management software and digital tools.

Desirable but not essential: Experience in the maritime, aerospace, or technology sectors would be advantageous and/or experience in Sea/Space exploration sectors
