Estate/Building Manager - Stratford

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

An exciting opportunity to lead and develop the operational onsite service to this prestigious new development.

Overseeing the safety and maintenance of designated properties and ensuring that these properties follow all applicable regulations. Recommending and coordinating improvements to the property as needed to ensure a safe, functional, and appealing space.

Lead a team of consisting of Concierge, Cleaner & Landscape Gardener to provide a first class service.

  • Maintaining a safe environment with proper lighting, signage, and disability access
  • Drafting and updating emergency plans and evacuation procedures
  • Overseeing security, fire prevention, and other safety systems
  • Scheduling regular building maintenance and janitorial services
  • Contracting professionals for repairs as needed
  • Ensuring that occupants are provided with proper utilities
  • Monitoring building maintenance budgets
  • Arranging for building improvements
  • Overseeing contractors and inspecting completed jobs
  • Supervising grounds staff
  • Hiring employees or contractors as needed to maintain, repair, or improve the property
  • Providing training for building employees as needed
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing direction, correction, or additional training to ensure proper maintenance of the building
  • Scheduling contractors and employees
  • Resolving complaints, problems, and requests from building tenants
  • Assisting with emergency response and evacuations
  • Maintaining records of tenants
  • Inspecting the building frequently for signs of damage or wear

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Confidence and discretion to be used with high profile residents.
  • Ability to take ownership of an operation when alone.
  • Professional, precise, courteous and dedicated.
  • Sharp eye for detail.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of IT including email.
  • Able to cope with pressure.
  • Able to multi task and still deliver a top quality service.
  • Able to work under a full confidentiality agreement.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving ability
  • Good negotiation Skills
  • Customer Service Experience, Management or Human Resources Experience
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • An Understanding of Building Codes and Safety Regulations
  • Results Oriented Behaviour,
  • Building Trade Certification, Associates Degree in Business Administration or Real Estate, On-the-Job Experience, State Licensing,
  • Second Language Fluency a Plus
