Responsibilities:
- Maximise Sales and Profitability: Take primary accountability for maximising sales, margins, and profitability in this fast-paced and diverse category.
- Lead Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships to deliver a successful product range.
- Implement Product Strategy: Ensure the product strategy meets customer needs and aligns with market demands.
- Monitor Market Trends: Continuously review competitor information to keep the product offering relevant in a changing market.
- Drive Range Reviews: Play a key role in range reviews, supplier negotiations, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Ensure Product Quality and Availability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure great product availability and quality.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience in buying, specifically within the furniture industry.
- Strong awareness of new and upcoming trends.
- Excellent understanding of consumer behaviour and the marketplace.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
