Salary: c£45,000 per annum

About The Company:

Our client, a leading university is seeking a skilled Web Developer to join their IT team. This role focuses on delivering innovative web and application solutions to enhance academic and administrative functions.

Web Developer – The Role:

This role involves developing new web-based applications, supporting and maintaining existing ones, and providing technical expertise in Microsoft technologies. You'll also play a key role in process mapping, project management, and leading requirements gathering with stakeholders.

Web Developer – Main Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Lead full systems lifecycle design and development, including requirements gathering, analysis, and testing
  • Develop, maintain, and document new and existing applications in line with organisational standards
  • Organise and lead stakeholder meetings for solution design and business process refinement
  • Support future web development strategies, particularly in areas like AI and Azure Cognitive Services

Web Developer – You:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Computing Science or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#/VB, ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, and Web API
  • Strong skills in full-stack development, architecture, and security
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, Entity Framework, and test-driven development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users
