Finance and Banking Manager

Cobalt is pleased to be working with a premier property service provider who is seeking a talented and dedicated Finance and Banking Manager to join their ever-growing team in Southwest London. You will play a key role in supporting the Client Account Director and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our finance and banking operations.

As the Finance & Banking Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a team of 7 clerks and administrators. You will ensure that all client bank accounts are reconciled following ARMA requirements and that all receipts and payments are processed promptly. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with ARMA standards, ensuring that documentation is readily available for inspection and audit.

This position offers 2 days of working from home and flexible hours!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process supplier invoice/payment files using the property management system imports.
  • Report and reconciliation for the main client account, including Receipts, Payments, and New Business.
  • Supervise and support the Banking and Finance Administrators to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Liaise with our Bank Relationship Manager to maintain strong banking relationships.
  • Maintain and reconcile the payments Accounts, ensuring no accounts are overdrawn.
  • Process faster payments and supplier BACS payments, with the main payment run.
  • Oversee payroll processing for Block Management site staff.
  • Maintain and reconcile the suspense accounts.
  • Assist Account Managers with bank reconciliations and audit queries when needed.
  • Handle the monthly payroll for the business.
  • Manage weekly payment runs and payment reconciliations.
  • Reconcile and transfer client payroll VAT to their company bank account or notional account as needed.
  • Submit the following reports: Client bank account balances and dates of last reconciliation.
  • Compile reconciliation files for the ARMA audit, encompassing all bank accounts.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of the company Invoice block and manage the company debtor account.

Requirements:

  • Experience working for a real estate company is essential.
  • Clear and effective communication - email, telephone, and face-to-face
  • Experience directly managing a team previously ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and working towards deadlines.

  • IT literate - Microsoft programs and Property Management Software
