Rawdon Golf, Lawn Tennis and Padel Club is a friendly sports club offering a 9-hole golf course, three floodlit all weather, two grass and two padel tennis courts. Our clubhouse and patio area offers a vibrant environment for our 600 members and their guests to meet and socialise.

We are seeking to appoint a Chef to provide a quality catering service to our members and visitors. This is an ideal business opportunity for an innovative and motivated Chef to develop and expand our catering provision.

The role is offered on a self-employed basis and offers the opportunity to develop a successful business. This role could be combined with our current Bar Manager vacancy for a couple who wish to work together and offer a seamless food and beverage service.

Chef – Duties and responsibilities – Self Employed, Hospitality, Food, Beverage, Catering, Caterer

  • Develop and prepare menus to meet the needs of our members and guests
  • Provide bar snacks, lunches, and occasional evening meals for members and team matches
  • Plan themed events to further generate profits
  • Cater for external social functions
  • Liaise with our bar manager to provide and serve food
  • Recruit, train and manage part time catering staff
  • Purchase stock and manage supplies
  • Comply with H&S legislation and food standard regulations

Chef – Requirements – Self Employed, Hospitality, Food, Beverage, Catering, Caterer

  • Experience of working in hospitality and catering
  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with ability to use initiative and problem solve
  • Flexible working pattern and willingness to work weekends and some bank holidays
  • Some form of Food and Hygiene qualification desirable
