About the Role:
As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by ensuring the efficient handling of goods, maintaining stock accuracy, and supporting timely deliveries. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a well-organised and safe warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Goods Receiving and Inspection - Efficiently unload and receive goods, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and accurately update inventory records
- Inventory Management - Keep inventory records accurate, conduct regular stock counts, and organise goods for efficient storage
- Order Fulfilment - Pick and fulfill orders with precision, allocate materials using SAGE 200, and replenish stocks daily
- Warehouse Organisation and Improvements - Ensure a clean, safe, and organised warehouse, contributing to continuous improvement efforts
- Compliance and Safety - Follow safety regulations, participate in safety training, and maintain high standards of compliance
- Documentation and Reporting - Accurately document stock movements and assist with report preparation, ensuring proper filing of records
- Communication and Collaboration - Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supporting new team members as needed

Technical Skills:
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment and familiarity with systems like SAGE 200
- Strong ability to manage tasks efficiently

- Able to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Forklift certification would be an advantage
