We are seeking a dedicated Technical Administrator to join a friendly team. This role offers flexibility with core working hours and an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Respond to customer requests accurately and professionally, from individual queries to completing technical information for larger food manufacturing and retail clients.
  • Specification Management: Manage internal and customer-facing product specifications, including generating new specifications and updating existing ones as required.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain, update, and organize all technical documentation related to food manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints, monitor them to identify issues and trends, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Record Keeping: Manage and maintain accurate records of quality control reports, production data, and other relevant documentation.
  • Audit Assistance: Support the preparation for and during internal and external audits, ensuring all required documents are readily available and compliant.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with various departments, including production, quality assurance, and management, to ensure smooth information flow and timely documentation updates.
  • Continual Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement related to documentation, record-keeping, and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling technical information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft systems (including Excel); experience with online retailer specification systems is a plus.
  • Proven experience in administrative roles within the food manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and regulations; knowledge of BRCGS is beneficial.
  • Knowledge/background in FMCG.
  • Strong time-management skills to handle multiple requests efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work autonomously for part of the week.
