An established Accountancy firm based in Reading is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant on a part time, temporary basis. The assignment will be for 3 months initially, with the potential to extend or eventually become permanent.
The company delivers a range of services for organisations of all sizes including sole traders, LTD companies, LLP's and startups.
The Role
This is a part-time (approx. 16-20 hours per week initially), office-based role which would suit an experienced Accountant seeking flexible part time hours. The role can be performed over any number of days depending on the preference of the successful applicant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial accounts, preparing financial statements, supporting with performing bookkeeping duties, preparing CT & self assessment tax returns and providing financial advisory services where required. The Senior Accountant will work closely with clients to understand their needs and advise on the best course of action.
Preferred Candidate Criteria:
- Excellent mathematical & analytical skills
- Experienced with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Familiarity with tax laws & regulations
- Strong written + verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- QBE or Professional accounting qualification - ACCA preferred, however ACA or equivalent qualification will also be considered
- Experience in a similar role is essential, with previous experience working in an accountancy practice or outsourced accounting services firm
Pay: £35-£38 per hour (Negotiable)
Expected hours: 16-20 per week
