Due to their growth they are looking for an established Transport Manager to join the team.
Description
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transportation department.
- Develop and implement effective transport strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and mentor a team of drivers and support staff.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any transport-related issues promptly.
- Maintain and manage the fleet, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on transport activities and performance.
Profile
- You must be CPC qualified
- Proven experience in a transport management role, preferably in a fast-paced FMCG background
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and industry best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using transport management software and other relevant IT tools.
- Commutable to North London
