Are you an Estates Manager with a surveyor background looking for a varied and interesting role?

I am searching for a forward-thinking and approachable Estate Manager to join the property team.

You will play a vital role in ensuring a diverse property portfolio serving 175 parishes and 169 schools is fit for purpose and leaving a positive and lasting impact.

In your role as Estate Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on many varied and exciting projects as the Diocese is going through a period of change. Leadership, communication and project skills are pivotal to your success in this role.

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Be responsible for a diverse property portfolio including heritage property, overseeing maintenance and improvements.
  • Partner with colleagues on exciting projects, shaping the future of the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with external consultants, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Ensure all properties are safe & sustainable.
  • Ensure parish (and other Diocesan) buildings are fit for purpose. .
  • Meet with third parties, such as consultants, Local Authorities etc to facilitate works.

You're a perfect fit if you have:

  • Prior experience working as a surveyor or equivalent, ideally within historical/listed buildings.
  • A proactive approach and a knack for problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you're a team player who builds trust.
  • A commitment to health, safety, and creating a positive work environment.
  • Understanding of risk management and practical solutions.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience in asset and estates management, especially in multi-use buildings.
  • A full UK driver's license is a plus, as some travel is required.
