Job Title: Fire Stopper / Multi-trader

Job Description:
Hays are currently recruiting for a Fire Stopper with multi-trader experience. The ideal candidate will have a multi-trade background, with an understanding of Fire Stopping. Additional training can be given if there are some areas you feel you may require support.
This role will be ongoing, on a temporary basis, with all work being local to Cambridge.
Duties:
- Installing firestop systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings
- Applying fire-resistant materials to seal openings and penetrations
- Ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborating with construction teams to integrate firestop systems seamlessly
- Reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints
- Measuring and cutting fire-resistant materials to fit specific spaces
- Assisting with multi-trader duties in all other aspects of maintenance
Requirements:
- Experience in firestopping or a related field
- Proficiency in installing fire-resistant materials to prevent the spread of fire within buildings
- Ability to work with various firestopping tools and materials
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and building codes
- Attention to detail for precise installation of fire-resistant barriers
- Adherence to safety procedures and protocols
- Own tools & transport is essential.
- Willingness to work on multiple projects around Cambridge.
