Payroll Specialist

A well established and highly reputable manufacturing business are looking to hire a Payroll and Benefits Analyst. This role will involve managing, coordinating, and delivering payroll, pensions, and benefits services across 3 business areas in the UK. You will need proven experience dealing with payroll for a minimum of 100 employees along with knowledge of tax and ideally P11ds. You must be confident using ADP for this position. You must be passionate to deliver high quality customer service whilst resolving queries/topics from employees. The role is permanent working 22.5 hours a week over 5 days ideally, however 4 days could be considered, and the salary offered is £37,800 per annum (pro rata). Other extensive benefits are on offer along with free parking.

What will you be doing as a Payroll Specialist / Payroll Benefits Analyst?

Payroll

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll activities of three UK payrolls in conjunction with outsourced providers
  • Ensure accurate preparation, calculations and balancing of UK payrolls including payroll checks and resolving errors
  • Liaise with the outsourced payroll provider on annual tax related processes e.g., P11D, Form 42 and P60
  • Coordinate other associated activities such as payroll reports etc

Compensation & Benefits

  • Support with annual pay review and bonus processes aligned to the Company framework
  • Implement Compensation changes in Payroll
  • Supporting Salary Survey data collection
  • Support the pay review and bonus process
  • Deliver the annual flexible benefits enrollment project
  • Coordinate monthly pension payments and conduct audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Managing the benefits renewal and ensuring appropriate sign-off
  • Manage all benefits administration such as new starters, leavers, and updates programme
  • Coordinating the UK company cars
  • Participate in the site safety committee and engage with the Site team to embed the best practices.
  • Implement, support, and promote Employee Well-being Initiatives

HR Administration

  • Provide peer support and backup to HR Analyst
  • Update local employee files and systems to ensure an accurate record of information
  • Conducting Audits on employee files
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving letters in conjunction with the HR Shared Services Team
  • Supporting with other HR activities and projects as required
  • Support time and attendance activities including reviewing/auditing and resolving any queries

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Payroll Specialist is essential
  • Proven experience dealing with payroll for a minimum of 100 employees
  • Must have experince with ADP
  • HR Systems Knowledge is preferable
  • Understanding of payroll and HMRC/Tax regulations
  • Knowledge of the full HR operations processes / employee life cycle
  • Experience working with Microsoft, SAP, Opera & Northgate would be beneficial
  • Experience of using Workday and of Microsoft and SAP would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures and UK Employment law is desirable
  • Detail-oriented with the execution of routine and complex processes
  • Excellent communication skills are needed along with a passion to deliver high quality customer service consistently in a professional manner
  • Adaptable to quickly changing requirements and able to manage conflicting demands
