Restaurant Manager
- Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team in a well-established restaurant in Belfast. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the hospitality industry and a track record of managing a busy bar and food service environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service and profitability, and for managing a diverse range of functions and events.
Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee all facets of the restaurant to maximise profitability and strive for continual improvement.
- Implement systems and procedures to meet agreed targets for turnover, gross profit, and variable costs.
- Manage variable costs effectively and ensure proper use of equipment.
- Plan and prioritise tasks and events, working closely with the Entertainments Manager.
- Promote the restaurant and actively seek additional revenue opportunities.
- Manage menu and price changes in liaison with the Head Chef and General Manager.
- Ensure exceptional customer service, with management presence during peak hours.
- Encourage the team to upsell and handle customer needs individually.
- Maintain strict control over stock and comply with Company procedures.
- Manage staffing requirements within budget and control man-hour costs.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance assessments of staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience at a senior manager level within a busy bar and food service environment.
- Excellent knowledge of beer, spirits, and cocktails preferred.
- Previous event management experience.
- IT proficiency and advanced knowledge of using websites and social media.
- Experience with PR, Press, and Media.
- Commercial and cost-aware approach to work.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Flexibility with work hours, including daytime, evening, and weekend work.
