About Us: We are growing business operating in the construction and facilities management (FM) sector. Known for delivering high-quality, reliable services, we are looking to expand our finance team with the addition of a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant.

The Role: We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is a full-time, office-based position ideal for someone with previous experience in the construction or FM industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices against POs within Prima.
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier statements weekly.
  • Ensure that all queries are raised and resolved with suppliers.
  • Answer incoming calls and manage internal & external queries with sales reps & customer service departments/client queries.
  • Support credit control and debt chasing activities.
  • Open new customers ensuring credit checks are completed.
  • Ensure credit control record are maintained within Sage.
  • Maintain accurate records of creditors ledger in Sage and ensure data accuracy.
  • Record credit card transactions in a timely manner.
  • Make sure employees expenses recorded and paid accurately.
  • Other ad hoc finance duties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar finance/account's role
  • Industry experience in construction or facilities management preferred
  • Proficient in using accounting software such as Sage/QuickBooks
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
