Our client, an award-winning local accountancy firm going through a period of substantial growth, are currently seeking an enthusiastic Payroll Professional to join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual and keen to advance their career within the payroll profession within an accountancy practice environment.
The responsibilities:
- Process and manage a high volume of payroll transactions for various clients on weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly, and monthly bases.
- Handle all aspects of payroll management.
- Address and resolve client queries, including liaising with HMRC as necessary.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounts preparation when time permits.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet strict deadlines.
The candidate:
- Proven experience processing a high volume of payroll transactions.
- Effective and clear communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and HMRC.
- Strong understanding of current payroll legislation, including PAYE, SSP, SMP, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team, demonstrating accurate data entry skills, adherence to deadlines, and performance under pressure.
