Kenton Black are delighted to be working with a top 100 firm of accountants and business advisors in Manchester currently looking to recruit a an Accounts Semi Senior with a minimum of 2 years current UK practice experience.

As Accounts Semi Senior you will be joining a fast-growing dynamic accountancy and business advisory firm with multiple offices across the North West. You should be AAT, ACA or ACCA studier with accounts preparation experience within a similar environment.

The roles involves strong teamwork as well as direct interaction with clients, so self-confidence and good interpersonal skills are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Accounts Semi Senior your key responsibilities will include:

  • 2 years experience in an accounting firm with similar clients (not contractor accountancy)
  • Preparation of small accounts from books and records and software (for example Xero, Sage QuickBooks)
  • Use of Xero preferred
  • Some bookkeeping and VAT knowledge
  • Studying AAT, ACA or ACCA
  • Salary up to £25k

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • AAT, ACCA or ACA studier
  • Current accounts experience in an Accountancy Practice Firm
  • Basic knowledge of accounting packages including Xero, Sage, Quickbooks etc.
  • Basic knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS 102
