A growing business is looking for a German speaking Management Accountant to support the EU Finance Manager and the Group Financial Controller in managing the EU Finance function, ensuring month-end processes work effectively and daily and weekly reporting forecasts are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
You will be required to manage the ledgers effectively for both the Dutch and German entities and to speed up and streamline the group finance processes and be responsible for accurate cash flow forecasting, working closely with the EU Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller.
What you'll do as Management Accountant:
- Prepare accurate and timely consolidated management accounts for review
- Support the AP and AR functions and also support with invoices posting.
- Analyse Business Performance daily, weekly and monthly and reporting variances and root cause analysis.
- Forecasting and management of EU cash and regular reporting.
- Work with the Group Financial Controller and EU Finance Manager to manage robust budget and forecasting processes for presentation internally and externally.
- Manage the annual audit process, and ensure it runs smoothly and to time.
- Work with the UK Finance team and UK/EU Finance Managers ensure monthly management accounts are prepared accurately and in time with the Finance timetable.
- Implement, standardise and improve reporting and controls.
- Ensure that all ledgers are being reconciled regularly and balance sheet reconciliation done for all EU entities diligently in collaboration with the EU finance manager and Group financial Controller.
- Make and review payment runs and spending requests, and send for approval
- Implement a continuous improvement culture, and deliver accurate information in a timely manner.
- Manage the insurance and annual reporting requirements for the EU companies.
Other responsibilities:
- Providing finance support to the EU sales and operations teams.
- Provide day to day input and support to the EU Finance Manager and the wider UK team.
- Manage the workload of the EU Accounts Assistant.
We're looking for a Management Accountant with:
- A CIMA, ACA, ACCA part qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and proven financial control experience ideally gained within a progressive, fast paced business.
- Fluent German and English verbal and written skills (Dutch will also be an advantage)
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills.
- Robust and disciplined to meet deadlines while maintaining controls.
- Passionate and can-do collaborative attitude.
