Are you a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives?

Tradewind is looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to support our lovely partner primary school in Bolton.

This full-time position begins in September 2024, and you will be required to complete the academic year. This role is also ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with vibrant personalities and a passion for education, looking to develop experience across KS1 and KS2, and hone skills in behaviour management, planning and lesson delivery.

This one-form entry school has been rated 'Good' Ofsted in 2023 and prides itself on building a positive and engaging learning environment for the academic, social and emotional growth of the pupils.

Start Date: September 2024

Position: Full-Time HLTA

Pay Rate: £100 - £150 per day, subject to experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons from EYFS to Year 6. Help maintain a positive learning environment by managing student behaviour and ensuring classroom rules are followed.
  • Intervention: Lead small group interventions to support student learning. Utilise learning schemes including Little Wandle Letters and Sounds to support academic growth.
  • Planning and Preparation: Contribute to lesson planning and preparation.
  • Student Development: Support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to various classroom settings and across year groups as needed.
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and flexibility to support across classrooms
  • Confident in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Passion for working with children and enhancing their educational experience
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
