About the Business

An opportunity to be an Assistant Financial Accountant for an excellent service business in Droitwich. It's a role within a growing company that has an established reputation for high quality management.

Main Duties

As an Assistant Financial Accountant, your main duties include:

Contract and Lease Management

  • Support Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Accountants in preparing and delivering financial reports as outlined in contracts and leases with partners (local authorities, trust partners, etc.).
  • Calculate and produce independent reviews, management fees, lifecycle funds, income/profit share, income benchmark, utility benchmark, and deduction reports.

Year-End Processes

  • Assist in year-end statutory account preparation and audit for all entities.
  • Prepare year-end reporting packs for group consolidation.
  • Collate and prepare financial data for individual entity statutory accounts.
  • Coordinate with auditors, providing requested information and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare corporation tax packs for group tax return completion.

General Accounting and Financial Support

  • Raise and process contractual invoices (management fees, rent, income shares, etc.).
  • Prepare financial reports for board directors and external stakeholders as required.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial results.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Location / Office / Culture

This role is based in Droitwich Spa, and is office based. This will be reduced over time after the probation period with more flexibility added.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (studying or part-qualified)
  • At least one years' experience in finance
  • Previous management accounts experience
  • Strong spreadsheet skills
  • A meticulous, and organised nature
  • Good communication skills
  • A good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and timescales
  • Good time management and the willingness to take a hands-on approach
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team
