Reed are looking for an Engagement and Development Advisor to support the day-to-day operations of the People and Culture Branch of our client. This specialist role is responsible for developing and enhancing our learning and development programmes, as well as our culture and staff engagement initiatives, to help achieve organisational goals and long-term success.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Administer and manage an annual training needs exercise, engaging with external training providers while adhering to procurement guidelines.
  • Respond to ad-hoc training requests across the organisation in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular analysis for senior stakeholders on the progression of engagement and development-related matters, maintaining accurate statistics.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of in-house training programmes.
  • Champion employee engagement and health and wellbeing initiatives as part of the People & Culture strategy.
  • Manage and advise on engagement and development-related queries, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to policy and procedure.
  • Develop and distribute engaging monthly and quarterly communications to staff regarding health and wellbeing and staff development.
  • Facilitate timely payment of invoices in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • Coordinate student work placements and visiting workers, liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality, sensitivity, and duty of care in all duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification or above.
  • Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
  • At least 1 year's continuous experience in a fast-paced environment, supporting Learning and Development programmes and engagement/wellbeing initiatives.
  • Experience managing a varied workload and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Credibility with stakeholders through effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Strong knowledge of online development tools and platforms.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with a self-starter attitude.
