Registered Nurse
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Client's multidisciplinary team.
Job Purpose:
Our clinic currently has a vacancy for a Theatre/Outpatient Nurse. The clinic is in Sawston, Cambridge and is CQC approved so adheres to a high standard within the surgery and aesthetics industry. The role is a full-time position and is 5 days a week with some occasional weekend work depending on the needs of the patient, these appointments will be arranged in advance.
This job role will be a combination of preoperative and post operative, outpatient clinic and theatre. You will be assisting one of the top plastic surgeons in the UK.
The Registered Nurse main duties will be:
- Providing comprehensive care to perioperative patients who have undergone day surgery.
- You will be required to keep comprehensive medical notes including photography of patients at consultation, these will need to be stored electronically onto the computer system, so a knowledge of ICT is needed.
- You will also assist the Clinic Director during surgical procedures, training will be given where needed to adhere to the clinic's high standards.
- Ancillary duties will include administrative assistance to the Practice Manager when required, checking your emails, plus other duties as required.
- Coordinate use of supplies and equipment – ensuring all is safe and ready to use as well as monitor and order stock for operative procedures.
- Assemble, check and prepare appropriate surgical instruments and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures – any faults need to be reported to theatre manager immediately.
To work as a Registered Nurse for this role you Must Have the below:
- You must have the entitlement to work in the UK
- You must be registered with NMC
- A minimum of 2 years post qualification in scrub/surgical/outpatient practice
The successful Registered Nurse will benefit from:
- 21 days annual leave plus the normal 8 Bank and Public Holidays (Please note we do close over Christmas; you will be required to save at least 3 days of your leave for Christmas. The clinic is also closed on Bank holidays)
