Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with a prestigious Medical Membership Organisation to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Events Executive. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for event management and a desire to contribute to the success of a renowned professional body.

We are seeking a proactive Events Executive to support the organisation, delivery, evaluation, and development of a range of in-person and digital events. This role will ensure all activities are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.

Job Title: Events Executive
Salary: £34,284 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Location: Hybrid working model (combination of home and office-based work in Central London)
Working Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required for evening and weekend events

Responsibilities

  • Support the Events Team in coordinating and delivering key events such as the Diploma Ceremony and flagship conference.
  • Organise smaller events, including regional programmes, webinars, and online peer reviews.
  • Liaise with venues, speakers, suppliers, and delegates to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with budget management.
  • Develop event content based on member feedback and support continuous process improvements.
  • Promote events in collaboration with the communications team.
  • Analysing member feedback to generate ideas for event content development.
  • Liaise with the communications team on promotion of events to relevant audiences.
  • Exporting and manipulating data from the CRM (MS Dynamics)
  • Venue liaison, speaker liaison, contract negotiation, delegate liaison and processing delegate bookings, sourcing and co-ordinating facilitators.
  • Collecting, collating and acting on delegate feedback
  • Sending CPD certificates for delegates

Person Specification

  • Relevant experience in an events role.
  • Experience in organising a variety of in-person and online events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience in handling data and creating analytical reports.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and booking event facilities.
  • Website content management system experience.
  • Experience with event management systems and survey tools like Survey Monkey.
  • Previous work within a membership organisation or the not-for-profit sector.
