Management Accountant - Spalding - circa £50k & benefits
Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant looking for career progression. The successful candidate must have experience in accounts production, financial reporting, and data analysis. As Management Accountant, you should possess a proven track record of effectively managing financial data and generating insightful reports to support decision-making. This role requires someone who can work independently and in a team environment, prioritising tasks effectively. The ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels is key.
The role of the Management Accountant
Provide detailed, accurate, and timely periodic management accounts to stakeholders. Provide operational financial information to Group Companies, to help improve cost control, sales pricing and profitability. Involvement in development of the ERP system, reporting infrastructure, and KPIs.
- Provide monthly management accounts
- Business partnering across departments and Group companies
- Line manage Assistant Accountant
- Inventory and sales margin reconciliation and reporting
- Procurement and expenditure reporting
- Cross departmental/company cost allocations
- Year-end reporting and audit involvement
- Analytical and reporting development
- Involvement in the ERP process development and system upgrades
- Office For National Statistics Returns
- Support Financial Controller with budget setting and forecasting
- Support Financial Controller/Finance Director with senior business support and development initiatives
- Deputise for Financial Controller/Finance Director as required to cover Purchase and Sales Ledger, Tax Submissions
The ideal candidate for the role of Management Accountant
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA part or fully qualified or QBE
- Previous FMCG/manufacturing or food sector experience is desirable
