We are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Officer in the Tameside area
- Monday – Friday
- Office based role
- 37.5 hours a week
Duties include:
- Completing the end-to-end payroll process
- Processing accurate wages and salaries
- Calculating NI, tax and statutory pay including maternity, paternity and sickness pay
- Supporting the payroll administrators within the team, assisting with any training
- Organising and prioritising the teams' tasks for the day
- Communicating with external clients including pension providers and HMRC
- Answering payroll relating queries via email and telephone
- Completing weekly and monthly pension contributions and completing auto- enrolment processes before deadlines
- Understanding current legislations including NMW, student loan and statutory payments
The successful candidate:
- Desirably has a CIPP Diploma in payroll
- Worked on several payroll software's previously
- Has a minimum of two- three years' payroll experience
- Has strong time management, prioritising and organisational skills
- Knowledge of payroll legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Has experience working in a fast-paced environment and working towards deadlines
