Health and Safety Manager required. My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to hire a experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their established team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have an established Health and Safety background, will be proficient with risk assessments and COSHH, will be NEBOSH and IOSH qualified and will be based within a commutable distance of Standish, Wigan.
**Health and Safety Manager
Position Overview
- Accident and Incident investigations, report findings and identify countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence by RCA and Risk management
- Acknowledge, Investigate and resolve non conformance
- Implementation, communication and review of audit requirements, both internal and external
- Organise all required H&S training programmes
- Management of legislation register, ensuring site compliance through documented checks and implemented protocols
- H&S duties around the safety compliant operations of the facility
- Coordinate and lead the site safety committee activities
- Assist the process safety team in process hazard assessments (PHA, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, HFA and the development of ALARP demonstrations, as required under COMAH

Position Requirements
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Chemistry etc...)
- NEBOSH level 3 certificate & IOSH Managing safely
- Previous experience in a health and safety focused role, ideally in a managerial capacity
- Proficient in completing Risk assessments including COSHH
- Strong knowledge of ISO:45001
- Good working knowledge of the Chemistry industry and associated legislation
- Experience leading internal audits
- Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Position Remuneration
- Salary £45,000 - £48,000 DOE
- Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 / 09:00 - 17:00
- 33 Days holiday inclusive of public holidays
