Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work within one of our fantastic schools from after the half-term break. The successful candidate will be required to work Mondays, Tuesdays and likely Wednesdays on a long-term/permanent basis. They will be working closely with teachers to support the development and learning of students, and contributing to the creation and maintenance of a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be involved with:

  • Supporting children with special educational needs in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Assisting with classroom preparation, resource development, and maintaining a safe, organised learning environment.
  • Being part of a team committed to creating a positive learning experience for all children.

Position - Teaching Assistant
Contract or position start date - 11/11/2024
Duration - Permanent/Temporary- Long term temporary, which may result in a permanent position.
Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A
Full time/part-time - Part-time- Monday, Tuesday and likely to be needed Wednesdays.
Hours - Standard working hours 8.45am-3.00pm (times may vary).

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a school setting (desirable but not essential).

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).

  • A relevant qualification in Education or Childcare (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous).

  • To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

  • Provide references upon request

  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
