Search Consultancy are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a reputable, prestigious business in Manchester. This is an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a commercial. fast paced business and develop their career!
You will support a portfolio of project companies working alongside other members of the finance team as required.
The principal responsibilities of the role include management accounting, the incorporation of purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, cash books and loan schedules and reconciliations to SUN Systems accounting package. You will maintain accruals & prepayments and amortisation workings as applicable and support to preparation of management account reports including analysis of actual versus budget, preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns and the preparation of purchase invoice and other non-supplier payments and issuing of invoices to customers. You will support to preparation of the statutory accounts for the year-end audit and liaise with the audit team during their fieldwork and thereafter with the audit manager.
To be considered for this role you will:
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and enthusiasm to grow and develop a regional finance function
- Have prior experience of working in an accounting environment
- Be proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements
- Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills to support effective working relationships with the various stakeholders including lenders, shareholders, suppliers, operations and local authorities
- Be an excellent analytical skills with intellect to both develop and challenge explanations and arguments
