Production Operative, Aspatria, £12.27 per hour.
Role Overview:
Adecco is excited to be recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client based in Aspatria. This role starts as a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
You will initially work day shifts, Monday to Friday. However, candidates must be prepared to transition to a rotating shift pattern, working one week from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by the next week from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with an early finish on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Baling Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate the baling machine, including loading materials, monitoring the machine during operation, and ensuring that bales are correctly formed.
- Quality Control: Ensure bales meet the required standards for size, weight, and material composition.
- Material Handling: Manually collect and transport materials to the baler, requiring physical fitness due to the manual nature of the role.
- Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as clearing jams, cleaning the machine, and reporting any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
