Warehouse Operative
Our client is a market-leading joinery specialist who creates bespoke cabinetry, furniture and premium bespoke kitchen. They have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join their growing production team. They manufacture everything in-house at their workshops. This role will be based in Amersham.
The role of Warehouse Operative is essential in ensuring quality control and delivering excellent service to customers. The successful candidate must have a positive ‘can do' attitude, a willingness to learn new skills, and a practical, hands-on approach to work.
Key tasks
- Responsible for Goods in and out, and loading and unloading of deliveries
- Liaise with the Production Manager to plan for upcoming delivery deadlines
- Maintain the goods in area keeping it clear at all times
- Overseeing and ensuring quality control measures during the wrapping and packing stage of production
- Weekly cleaning rota of warehouse and workshop
- Recycling packaging
- Maintaining the temperature control of the workshop and offices
- Co-ordinating the projects to make space in workshop
- Stock control of workshop consumables and PPE
- Report to the Production Manager and Office team when necessary
- To comply with all company policies and procedures surrounding Health and Safety
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment
- Assisting in the machine shop (training will be given)
Requirements
- Good communication skills with internal and external customers
- Experience and relevant licence or certificate to operative a Forklift, would be desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
- A good level of fitness as the role will be physical
- Quality Control experience is desirable
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8-hour day (7:30 am – 4:00 pm)
Overtime (not guaranteed but often available)
