Head of Capital Projects to lead construction project management and team operations within a healthcare organisation in the North East and North Yorkshire. This role will be pivotal in delivering major works for new builds and refurbishment projects across the organisation.

Description

  • Lead and manage the capital projects team, ensuring effective delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines for all major works, including new builds and refurbishments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including healthcare leadership and community representatives, to align project goals with organisational objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, providing mentorship and support to team members.

Profile

  • Proven experience in construction project management, preferably within a healthcare, retirement, hospice, or technical or public sector environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, building standards, and healthcare-specific requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage and support internal teams.
