Environmental Protection Team Manager
Start date: August/September 2024
Rate: £55 - 60 per hour umbrella Inside IR35
Working hours: Full time, 37 hours
Location: Midlands
Working pattern: Hybrid - at least 2 days in the office
Duration of assignment: 6 months (likely extension)
Our client is looking for an Environmental Protection Team Manager on a hybrid basis, for at least 6 months (high likelihood of this being extended).
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Environmental Protection Team, ensuring compliance with Council policies and regulations
- Oversee statutory functions including nuisance investigation, pollution control, air quality, and contaminated land regulation
- Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team culture through effective people management and inter-service collaboration
- Provide expert guidance on environmental health matters and represent the Council in various forums
