Senior Application Support Analyst

The perfect candidate for this role would have experience in:

  • Application Support - Required
  • ERP Support - Ideally
  • Specific Unit1 ERP experience (formerly known as Business World / Agresso)
  • SQL coding experience (basic database queries) - ideally already has or has the potential to be trained in.

A public sector organisation have an exciting new career opportunity available for a Senior Application Support Analyst, to support the ERP system Business World by Unit4 , formerly known as Agresso_._

Responsibilities:

  • As a Senior Application Support Analyst, you will work in the Business World Application Support Team alongside two Application Support Specialists working on the Business World IT application and reporting to the Business World Product Manager.
  • Ensure that customer issues and requests are dealt with in an effective and efficient manner
  • Pro-actively monitor, review and complete tickets to ensure that they are responded to promptly whilst providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Provide assistance, support, advice and guidance to customers and third parties
  • Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks on the Line of Business Application, for example, loading file loads, maintaining items to follow up and being responsible for the Month end task list.
  • Take ownership and effectively progress all support calls to a successful conclusion at the earliest opportunity.
  • Cultivate relationships with Service users, the Product team and perform ad-hoc duties as requested by your Line Manager.
  • Use empathy to satisfy customer demands. You will be Investigating problems in the application processes and services.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of coordinating / managing Application Support type workloads (e.g. Service Desk, Application / L2 Support, Customer Services) is essential.
  • SQL skills and experience
  • Clear verbal, electronic, and written skills of communication, as you will be liaising with variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • This role can be filled by someone who is willing to learn and understand Business World, they do not need to have any experience in this particular ERP application, as training will be provided.
  • You must be proficient in the use of various MS packages.
  • A Finance background would be desirable but not essential.
