Supplier Quality Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a leading manufacturer in Nottingham who are looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer. The business supply high integrity solutions to a variety if critical industries such as alternative fuel, medical, industrial, aerospace and automotive.

Reporting to the CI and Quality Manager, as the Supply Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the supply development of the business, from tendering through development, product introduction and series manufacturing.

This role will be responsible for developing a partnership with existing suppliers to ensure there is an aligned approach and will continuously monitor and evaluate the supplier performance and internal business performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and overseeing supplier quality metrics and KPIs
  • Responsible for the Quality processes for supplier section
  • Responsible for ongoing supplier monitoring and evaluation
  • Development of a site business report for supplier performance
  • Coordinate and ensure containment for Quality issues arising from the portfolio of suppliers
  • Develop and complete the supplier audit schedule
  • Influence and Engage key Stakeholders to resolve complex supplier related issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead targeted improvement projects with identified key suppliers to improve Quality performance and deliver cost savings.
  • Support the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to all applicable requirements including conducting internal audits.

I'm keen to speak Supplier Quality Engineer's with the following skillset:

  • Experience in a similar quality or engineering role
  • Have an in depth understanding of the IATF 16949 standard.
  • A broad understanding of specifications and quality requirements.
  • Competent in the use of Laboratory, inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Competent in the use of statistical data and problem-solving techniques.
  • Able to read and understand drawings
  • Good computer literacy and Microsoft office skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and able to build and maintain constructive and positive relationships.
