Compliance Officer - Housing

Our client is in need of a skilled Compliance Officer to join the Housing team. This role is integral in supporting Regulatory Liaison Officer, particularly in managing communications with the London Fire Brigade and ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience dealing with notices of deficiencies, improvement notices, and an understanding of Section 20 works and notifications.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fire Brigade Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the London Fire Brigade, responding to queries, and submitting required documentation during notice of deficiencies or improvement notices.
  • Regulatory Support: Support the Regulatory Liaison Officer by managing and uploading documents to relevant portals, ensuring compliance with all fire safety regulations.
  • Section 20 Notifications: Assist the housing team with Section 20 works and notifications, especially during quieter periods with the Regulatory Support Officer role.
  • Leasehold Works: Provide expertise and support for Leasehold works, including the preparation and management of Section 20 notices.

Profile

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in liaising with fire safety authorities, particularly the London Fire Brigade, and handling documentation for fire safety notices.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Section 20 works and notifications within the housing sector.
  • Skills: Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing support across various functions as needed.

  • £35 per hour Umbrella rate and 35 hours per week Mon-Fri
  • Hybrid working

  • Contract Duration: ASAP - 31st March 2025 (Potential extension for another 12 months)
