Reed HR has partnered with an organisation in Kent who are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief People Officer (CPO) to join their executive team. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to shape the future of their workforce and culture. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership to all aspects of human resources, from talent management to organisational development, ensuring the people are at the heart of everything they do.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Develop and execute a people strategy that aligns with the organisation's vision, mission, and business objectives.
  • Lead the HR team to deliver exceptional HR services, including recruitment, talent development, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusivity.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board of directors on all matters related to human capital.
  • Drive initiatives that support the organisation's strategic goals, including workforce planning, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Lead change management initiatives and support the organisation through growth and transformation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CPO or in a similar senior HR leadership role.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and implement comprehensive HR strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing HR teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire at all levels of the organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation.
  • Experience in change management and organisational development.
  • A relevant degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a Master's degree or professional HR qualifications would be advantageous.
