Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled joiner/cabinet maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of bespoke fitted furniture, including fitted wardrobes, kitchens, and media walls, with a keen eye for detail.

The role will involve working collaboratively within our workshop and managing individual projects. We are a growing company working on high-end residential and commercial projects. You will need to work closely with our designers and clients to ensure that the work is carried out to the highest standard and according to the provided design.

Responsibilities:

  • Building bespoke cabinets and interior fitted joinery from 2D drawings and specifications to a high standard.
  • Setting up and operating equipment, including power saws, planers, sanders, lathes, and routers.
  • Measuring and marking materials; trimming parts using hand tools, including planes, chisels, wood files, and sanders.
  • Verify dimensions; assemble and finish components.
  • Working through each stage of kitchen/furniture manufacture from beginning to end.
  • Site installation, ensuring that all fixtures are correctly wrapped/transported and then installed to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices in woodworking and construction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker/Joiner for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Proficiency in joinery techniques and carpentry skills
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Knowledge of spraying would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret design plans and specifications.
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to learn and adapt following directions while also problem-solving, using initiative and adding value to the team.
