Credit Controller

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Credit Controller to join a dynamic business based on the outskirts of Ware. Reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager.

This is a hybrid role giving you the opportunity to work 2 days in the office and 3 from home. Due to the location of the office, you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own transport.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing & improving the collections of their ledger.
  • Accurately allocate cash.
  • Efficiently send copy invoices and statements.
  • Monitor and manage the shared inbox.
  • Engage effectively with customers to resolve payment issues and disputes.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Contribute to minimising aged debt as part of the team's objectives.
  • Negotiate and agree on payment plans with customers.
  • Competently use customer portals and create clear billing/credit control process documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments for seamless resolutions.

What we're ideally looking for:

  • 2+ years of solid experience in Credit Control with a relevant finance background.
  • Proven experience working with high-volume ledgers.
  • Confidence in dispute resolution and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Thrives on challenges and enjoys tackling them head-on.
  • Passionate about making a difference and delivering outstanding outcomes.
