We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Credit Controller to join a dynamic business based on the outskirts of Ware. Reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager.
This is a hybrid role giving you the opportunity to work 2 days in the office and 3 from home. Due to the location of the office, you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own transport.
What you will be doing:
- Managing & improving the collections of their ledger.
- Accurately allocate cash.
- Efficiently send copy invoices and statements.
- Monitor and manage the shared inbox.
- Engage effectively with customers to resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Contribute to minimising aged debt as part of the team's objectives.
- Negotiate and agree on payment plans with customers.
- Competently use customer portals and create clear billing/credit control process documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments for seamless resolutions.
What we're ideally looking for:
- 2+ years of solid experience in Credit Control with a relevant finance background.
- Proven experience working with high-volume ledgers.
- Confidence in dispute resolution and providing actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Thrives on challenges and enjoys tackling them head-on.
