We are proud to be working with a renewable energy business based in Milton Keynes. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Project Manager to work with their UK based and international customers.

The Project Manager role is dynamic and will be tailored to the candidates' experience. You may be an Assistant Project Manager with 2-3 years experience or you may be a seasoned PM with decades of experience. Which ever category you fall in to, you must have clear understanding of the renewable energy sector.

As a Project Manager, your duties will include:

  • Management of equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects
  • Responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources.
  • Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline.
  • Direct people management responsibility including staffing, and performance development.
  • Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

To be a successful candidate for the Project Manager role you will have the following skills/experience:

  • Identifying and delivering on commercial and technical objectives on your projects
  • Coordinating a team of technical consultants and engineers to meet deadlines
  • Degree in engineering (Masters/Project Management qualifications also beneficial)
  • Project development experience - for example site selection, cooperating with consultants, stakeholder engagement, site surveys and concept/basic design
  • Direct experience in a relevant technical area e.g. contributing/delivering technical projects in offshore wind, hydrogen, energy storage etc.
  • Ability to manage teams across multiple delivery locations, bringing the team together
  • Demonstrable experience in project management fundamentals (cost, risk, schedule and contractual management, change control etc)
  • Experience with commercial terms and WBS/hours estimation for cost control.
