Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an Ellesmere Port-based Primary school as they are looking to recruit an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to hold intervention and booster sessions with pupils across KS1 and KS2 (Key Stage). This is a long-term contract that will last the entirety of the academic year.
Your new role
In your new role as a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting all KS1 and KS2 classes. You will liaise with class teachers to understand pupils' attainment needs and hold intense intervention and booster sessions in required subjects on a 1:1 and small group basis, ensuring that all pupils reach their full academic potential. As this is a varied role, you will be required to hold tailored interventions and boosters inside the main classroom and, on occasion, a separate classroom depending on pupils' learning requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
- Extensive experience delivering intervention and booster sessions
