Accounts Receivable Analyst - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract (Possibility of Permanent Role)

Think Accountancy & Finance is excited to be recruiting for a well-established company in St Albans, looking for a Accounts Receivable Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of the role turning permanent. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting reconciliations who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview:

As an AR Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of various Sales Ledger and Bank account reconciliations. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, credit card processors, regional managers, and the broader accounts department, to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of high-volume Sales Ledger and Bank Accounts, focusing on credit card transactions.
  • Proactively engage with external partners to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Provide support to other members of the reconciliations team and step in for colleagues when necessary.
  • Assist the accounts department with various financial accounting, analytical, and reporting tasks as needed.
  • Utilise your problem-solving skills to identify and suggest solutions to potential issues before they escalate.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven experience in accounting reconciliation, especially handling large volumes of data, multisite experience is beneficial.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills are essential, with experience in NetSuite being highly desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Organisation: Superior organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines.
  • Desirable Qualifications: AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
