Salary: £80-£90 a day

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join our team. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing individualised support to individuals with ASC. Your responsibilities will include assisting individuals in developing essential life skills, promoting social interactions, and creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised support plans based on the unique needs and goals of each individual with ASC.
  • Provide hands-on assistance and guidance in daily activities, including personal care, communication, and emotional regulation.
  • Foster positive social interactions and communication skills through engaging activities and interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of progress, behaviours, and any relevant incidents.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques in line with established protocols.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or degrees in fields such as psychology, education, or social work are a plus.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with ASC.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations.
  • First aid and CPR certification is desirable.
