Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our team in Leyland, supporting our customer Waitrose. As a HR Advisor, you will provide timely, effective and comprehensive support to line managers in all aspects of HR while meeting the immediate and long term needs of the site and to develop and deliver the HR strategy.
This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, with flexibility on start and finish times. This is a 24/7 operation and some flexibility is required to support the managers out of hours.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £33,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
- Provide comprehensive generalist HR support to our operational and managerial colleagues
- Get involved in employee relations activity, such as grievances, disciplinary processes and absence management
- Proactively look to develop the HR strategy with an eye for continuous improvement and compliance
- Monitor and provide the HR Manager with management information relating to HR matters, such as headcount, turnover and absence
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A proven track record in a similar capacity, preferably with exposure to an operational environment such as logistics, production or manufacturing along with a CIPD qualification or studying towards
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR policy/practice and employee relations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, long-standing working relationships
- The ability to work well under pressure, both on your own and as part of a small team
