A growing business is seeking a Head of Product Development (UK) to spearhead the design, development, and continuous improvement of both hardware and software, aligning with their company strategic vision.

You will receive a salary of up to £67,000 per annum.

As the Head of Product Development (UK) you will

:

  • Lead the Design and Development team to deliver projects within timeframes and budgets.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define and prioritise project goals.
  • Contribute to the technical design of products, ensuring alignment with market needs, production capabilities, and sustainability efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the design and development process.
  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional development and the achievement of company objectives.
  • Balance the support of existing products with the creation of new ones, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Work closely with the Production and Operations teams to launch new products and ensure a smooth transition into manufacturing.

We are looking for a Head of Product Development (UK) with:

  • Previous experience in an R & D environment.
  • An Automotive/Aerospace/Innovation background is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experience leading a design / development team.
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques for lean development processes and understanding of design / development role in a business manufacturing structure
  • Proficiency in common software such as MS 365, Teams, GitHub, and project management tools.
